Portsoy 75 Club and the community of Portsoy raised funds to permanently install a dolphin statue, made by local artist Carn Standing, by the Old Harbour in Portsoy.

The dolphin has become an icon of Portsoy, admired by both locals and visitors.  It continues to appear in many photographs taken in all seasons, and even with the stunning Northern Lights as a backdrop.

Portsoy 75 Club commissioned Carn Standing to undertake repairs to the base of the dolphin in July 2024 to ensure it is maintained in good condition
